I went to Bluff Creek Church today to thank them for letting us hold our Youth Group Reunion there and snapped some pictures. A drive through prayer. Buy, Bluff Creek sure has changed from it’s ultra conservative stance of yester year.
I bought 80+ roses 2 years ago and planted them at home. Some died. I added 17 more and they will be planted in the pictures shown at the bottom.

This is how God intended working from home to be. Unfortunately, I’m just out goofing on cousin Scotty’s website, water the flowers and doing little pruning.
Playing around with my low light camera. It is about 10:10pm Monday night. Despite how light it looks, it is really dark. I'm done with my work and getting ready to close up shop (gazebo actually).
I finally setup my colored solar flower lights in amongst my flower beds. Pretty cool (the tulip ones I used to had been better and prettier though).
I only had a 15 watt fluorescent light in the kitchen on for a couple of the pics. And also I had the gazebo lights one for a few as well (like where I was waving; did you see those great looking legs? No jokes about them lighting up the scenes).
It does have difficulty focusing at night. The photographer does as well. You need light to see if it’s blurry.
Anyhow, Roger’s back yard gazebo party is ready. Well, if I’m not parting and it isn’t 130% humidity, there’s a good chance you’ll find me back here in the evenings.
I may try for some lightening bugs before I go to bed. Hoping for some storms tomorrow evening so I can try to get some lightening. I'm kinda skeered in storms by myself though....

Nice of my Ex to say it was OK to come and watch my Daughter get her next belt in Tie Kwan Do(?) after not telling me why I couldn’t her this when she let he take the week long class. Of course the last 2 weeks I couldn’t see her because she signed her up for summer school classes. Next 3 weeks is Africa. They were nice enough to maybe guarantee almost assuredly that we can have July 5th through 12th together. Anyhow, I have some pictures.

Well, I was confused. I thought this had something to do with the children or ministry that LeeAnne supports through Compassion International. Though it has some similarities, it is a different organization. LeeAnne supports 2 children and I support 1 in Uganda.
This is the African Children’s Choir. There are three different videos. The first one is the encore presentation. The second one is the video file untouched and I tried to do some color correction in the third.

LeeAnne volunteered to work at the Hillsong Concert at Bankers Filed House to help raise awareness for and to hopefully garner some sponsors for children through Compassion International. It was crazy loud. It was ridiculous loud. I am glad that I did not actually have to go into the arena and listen to the concert. It was almost hurting our ears in the foyer area and we could feel all the processions out there as well.

The first full day on our 5th once-in-a-lifetime hunt.
Levi shot a small one that turned out to be a bull (or it had dingle berries hanging on it) yesterday evening. Shane was out here with his lamas, which he would use later in the week for a long excursion into the mountains.
As usual, it is dry, dusty and warm (if not hot).

Today was our first excursion day away from camp. Kyle, Levi and I took a little jaunt up to the Grand Mesa National Park and did a little fishing. Later, we drove to the Grand Mesa National Forest in search of the elusive Lake Dweeble (I don’t remember the lakes name right now).
Having rattled our teeth loose before arriving at the &^$% lake, we decided to forgo fishing it until a day later in the week and just go drive around and look at the scenery.
While running the South Elk Loop and after we saw Needle Rock, we came upon wads and gaggles of mule deer.

Levi and I went back to find lake Where-Its-At to try some trout fishing. Once again, we rattled our teeth loose on the bumpy rock roads. But we did finally find it.
It was in a beautiful location with mountains all around.
We spoke with some of the other hunters that were passing mid-day away fishing and they too were not seeing or hear elk this year.
Oh, and Levi came through by catching 4 trout. 3 were of legal size. They were a tasty part of the fried Spam with tomatoes and fried potatoes.

Just did a little hunting today. Not much to show for it. I did see some deer on the way back from the hunt. In the afternoon, Kyle, Levi and I scoped out the Black Canyon National Park.
I have been there probably 4 times now. Kyle took a lot of video footage and I played with my 360 camera. Look for some of the 360 video footage on my YouTube channel.
**BTW, the US government has become quite good at taking completely useless pieces of real estate and turning them into something people think they want to see (I do anyway). They make National Parks out of them. The Black Canyon and area around it I useless territory; not good for living, cattle or wild game. So make it into a park and whala! People come to see it.
After visiting the North Rim of the park, we high tailed it back to do a short up top (top of the mountain).

Levi and I spent the morning out on the high planes desert looking for arrow heads. After what seemed about 75 hours we had each found one. Levi believes that he found about 37 but they were just pointy rocks and I could not convince him of that. And some were not even that pointy.
We made it back and meet up with the others for lunch. Everyone was pretty much hunted out and as much as we hated it, we had to admit that Levi was the better hunter. Actually, I didn’t have to admit it as I wasn’t elk hunting; so I still stand by me being the better elk hunter.
So instead of hunting the afternoon, we decided to go fishing instead. It’s always a good idea to go fishing in any situation. Just in the offhand case that we might be a bit gamey ourselves, we decided to go and take showers on our way into town and on through to our fishing destination. Yeah, I know, silly. It had only been a week; why would we need showers. Our first pair of underwear was still holding out. Well, I’m not sure about Kyles, but he was letting on like it was.
Anyhow, we had 5 fishermen, 2 fly rods and a fishing pole. That seems about right. We went back to the Grand Mesa National Forest to Ol’ Lake Nothings-In-There to do a little fishing. Amazingly, the scenery hadn’t changed in the 2 days since Levi and I were there.
Our spam and bologna surpluses were getting low so we decided to take a hiatuses from living off of the land and get some real food. Of course we all also got fried potatoes or fries though.
Then a little reminiscing around the fire and a few courses of cumbia before we head off to bed. There were lots of falling stars out also.

Not much here today. Us in camp before we tear the tent down and some pics off the side of the road on the way home.
I eventually hope to have the video of the drive through a Colorado canyon that we were detoured through up on YouTube for you all to look at. Once I do, I’ll make a link to it here.

A walk down memory lane for Vernon.
He pointed out where several buildings and pastures were located at what would be his Waldrip grandparents.
He also took us down Grubb Road and pointed out what he remembered of some old homesteads and his Grubb Grandparents.
Then he, Levi and I went cross country and located spring that he and his family fetched water from in his youth. The spring is in front of Ronnie’s portion of land on the South side of the ridge near a beech tree.

There haven’t been any picture posting since the 10th of November as I haven’t taken any since then until …
With the exception of the few I took at the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter on Feb 5th and 6th of 2020.
Why? It isn’t any fun for me anymore. I hardly have seen my daughter all of 2019, and essentially not at all since the 16th of September 2019, when she had some sort of accident (I’m still 100% sure of what happened) in which she suffered a very bad concussion and several months of follow up visits. I received a message from her 4 days after the fact saying she had a concussion and was going to bed. I thought is an exaggeration and possibly hit her head and got a knot or something.
No additional word, or responses, was made by her or my ex and LeeAnne’s new dad until an additional 4 days, 8 days after the accident, when her new dad called to inform me.
I went ballistic. Why wasn’t I notified when they took her to the hospital and for the tests there? Why wasn’t I informed when they had the follow up specialist visits? Unfortunately, LeeAnne feels my response to her mother and new dad was too harsh and unjustified; despite LeeAnne having not read the pointed letter (LeeAnne said so) and erased by Julie, Julie, told her to be mad at me; thus she is.
I’ve basically seen her for 3 hours since out July vacation, because that’s all they could find time for. Despite being under 18 and Julie supposed to be insuring we have time together.
In February, LeeAnne’s new dad, Jerry, called my father, Vernon, to see what could be done to help smooth the relationship. No offer of finding tome together was mentioned, no apologies for the hospital incident. No remorse for not getting time for LeeAnne and I to be together. Basically, I guess he was calling to see what I was going to do different, because he and Julie certainly weren’t.
I don’t know what else to do different. I guess I ran her away because I complained that we didn’t spend much time together (the last 2+ years) while they continued to do things as a family. How I felt I was being rooted out. No reason I should not feel that way; Jerry gave me advice saying that he was in my shoes once and that now I need to find a family. And there was the TV bee interview where not only did he keep referring to LeeAnne as his child, but that he/they didn’t even inform me that they were going to be on TV. I had to find out 10+ days later when family asked if that was LeeAnne on TV. Other sage advice has come from him. Julie did her part by stating that she wasn’t going to do a weekly journal, despite the Indiana Parenting Guideline clearly indicating that she was responsible to. Her exact response was, “That isn’t going to happen.”
I probably won’t win any brownie points with LeeAnne by writing this. But I’m not getting anywhere else with her by trying to call, leave messages, send texts and write e-mails. My hope is that maybe someone that friends, or acquaintances, of each of us , may encourage her to resume some type of relationship, or guide us on how we can repair it.
I really miss her, as does her Grand Waldrips and the rest of the family. I wish I could convey to her how much this hurts me. I wish she knew how badly I felt when she didn’t answer me whether she missed me even a little and later if she could even spend a little bit of time with me, the last time she spoke with me on the phone.
For those that enjoyed my photographs and are wondering when more will be on-line, I don’t have an answer for you. As I mentioned, photography and several other things aren’t much fun for me right now. All I can say is to check back often. In the meantime, I’m doing a a few posts and reviews on my web site and working to get my Creation/Evolution web site back up and in shape at www.eastviewconnect.org.
I do love you LeeAnne. I want to be a part of your life. We all do. Please try.
