Louella was born to Ray and Marie (Grubb) Penrose somewhere in Brown County, Indiana on 29 Oct, 1934.

She grew up at what is now known as Pine Grove, near what is now the Pine Grove ramp of Lake Monroe.

She graduated in 1953 from University High School in Bloomington, Indiana.

She and Vernon wed on June 7, 1953, just prior to Vernon's draft into the U.S. Army.  They were married for 68 wonderful years.

Louella joined Vernon at Fort Lewis and lived in a trailer, what would be known as a camper now days.  Vernon was due to be shipped out to Korea on the next contingent, but fortunately, a cease fire had occurred, and dad was spared.

Upon Vernon's discharge, he and Louella moved back to Bloomington, Indiana and lived there and in Indianapolis for short periods of time.

Eventually, they settled upon a piece of land in Waverly, Indiana and while living in the basement, worked it into a home.

Louella and Vernon had 4 boys.  Randy, Rusty, Roger and Rick.  Rusty is married to Sharron and Rick is Married to Gina.  Louella had 4 grandchildren.  Justin, Katie, LeeAnne and Ricky.

With all of her ailments, Louella had been in excessive pain and misery for a long time.  She had accepted Jesus as her savior a long time ago and was welcoming the relief from this world and the joy with Christ that death would bring.

Though we will all miss her, we will be able to see her again, in heaven, where she will not have the signs of pain of physical deformity but as the beautiful person she was.

Louella will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life is going to be held on May 14, 2022 from 2pm- 6pm at their home church of Bluff Creek.
